Big Red Welcome begins tomorrow. I highly encourage you to participate in the weekends’ festivities! Here is the schedule:

FRIDAY

New Student Convocation

• The official welcome not to be missed!
• Lied Center for Performing Arts, 4:30 p.m.

Picnic for New Students

• Enjoy supper with your new classmates and mingle with UNL faculty and staff members.
• Lied Center for Performing Arts, 5:30 p.m.

Marching Band Concert

• Get a sneak-peek at the band’s pre-game performance routine!
• Memorial Stadium, 7 p.m.

Tunnel Walk

• Before every football game it is tradition for the crowd to begin cheering on the Huskers as they do the “tunnel walk” to the field. Join first year students in their own tunnel walk as we introduce this year’s athletics with a gathering at the stadium.
• Memorial Stadium, 8:15 p.m.

Pep Rally

• Meet coaches and players!
• Learn fight songs!
• Coliseum, 8:45 p.m.

Party at the Rec

• FREE t-shirts and food! Sports club information, music, fun, and more!!!
• Campus Rec, 9:10 p.m.

UPC Movies at the Grand

• Bring your NCard and watch films on the big screen for free!
• Pulp Fiction, Pretty in Pink, American Pie, and The Ring
• Lincoln Grand, 11 p.m.

SATURDAY

School Bus Survivor Finale

• KFRX sponsored event
• Nebraska Union Plaza, 8 a.m. to Noon

Bike Trail Tours

• Take in the beauty of Lincoln on the city’s most popular bike trails! Lunch will be provided.
• Sign up in advance at the Campus Recreation Center Bike Shop!
• Bring your own bike and helmet or rent both from Campus Rec at no charge!
• Campus Rec, 11 a.m., repeats at 4 p.m.

Party at the Union

• DJ and dancing on the Plaza plus entertainment, food and giveaways inside the Union!
